About Me

Hi, I am Shannon Tunnell and I am a RYT500 Yoga Instructor. I specialize in pelvic floor yoga, vinyasa, pranayama, meditation and I also lead local yoga hikes in the Santa Cruz Mountains.

For me yoga is more than just about the physical practice (asana). It is about coming home to myself, to my roots, through pranayama (the breath), meditation and stillness. The Pelvic Floor houses 2 of the 7 main chakras, energy points in the body. The Muladhara Chakra, Root Chakra, is located in the perineum and is associated with the sense of security, comfort and grounding. The Svadhisthana Chakra, Sacral Chakra, is located at the base of the sacrum and is associated with emotions, pleasure and creativity. And then of course, the yoga hikes are one of the most effective ways to reconnect with your roots by getting out into Mother Nature herself.

I feel that my story and my training can help countless others who have experienced burn out, chronic stress and/or pelvic floor dysfunction.
